Finding the Correct Symbols for Accented Characters

Description
Presenter: Rebecca Sherwood

Date: Thursday, December 14, 2017

Description: When do you use UEB symbols and when do you use the characters from the foreign language’s braille code? Where do you find each? This webinar will look at BANA’s Provisional Guidance for Transcribing Foreign Language Material in UEB to help determine which characters are appropriate, then discuss where in The Rules of the Unified English Braille Code letter modifiers can be found and how to use World Braille Usage to find the specific characters used in a foreign language’s own braille code.
